The Iconic Beach Episode Trope

To prevent the issues the group faced when working on our previous project, we started the filming process really early. This proved to be advantageous to us because we worked out a lot of the structure of the film today. I will admit that I kind of lost sight of the direction we wanted the film to go in. Once I joined the group, this was cleared up completely. For our first day of filming, we went to the beach. Unfortunately, this did not prove to be the perfect set that we thought it would be. The beach was very windy, which made it hard to film. Additionally, there were way more people than we anticipated. The weather and crowd made the dialogue very difficult to hear. As a result, we searched for an alternative setting for the scenes that were supposed to be at the beach.

Hagan Park, a park near our school, proved to be the perfect substitute for the beach. It's a small sandy volleyball court in a neighborhood. There was no one using the court except for us, so it gave us more confidence to film there. Additionally, the actors had the ability to be as loud as possible without causing a disturbance to other guests. Filming there also remedied the issues we had with the weather at the beach.

After we settled into our new filming location, we focused on filming the opening sequence. We took several shots both at the beach and at the park. This is because we are still undecided on some things in our project. Once we review all the footage together, we will have a much clearer idea and get rid of the things we don't need. For now, I would consider today a step in the right direction of completing the project.

No One Likes a Third Wheel, But Now We’re a Car!

For the previous projects, I have continuously worked with Joshua Newell and Aidan Jones. I have found that working with them has produced consistently good work. We are able to communicate well and our schedules coincide, allowing us to get a lot of work done. While all of this is true, our group decided to add another member to the mix. We have decided to team up with Randy Sweeting.     There were several reasons why we wanted to add another member to the group. Most of them came from our last project. When filming the music video, we had trouble splitting the work load. It was a bigger project than the first, and we wanted to include more actors. This posed a challenge to the three of us, because we would all have to be present on camera. Additionally, we wanted a different perspective. The three of us agree on a lot of things. As a result, we sometimes miss out on better ideas or more efficient practices because we are so likeminded.  ...

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

For our first major assignment, we're working on a commercial. To get the job done I picked two of my good friends that I know can produce good work - Joshua Newell and Aidan Jones. Both are amazing at conjuring up creative ideas.       Joshua will be mainly handling the acting and props for the commercial. He's perfect for conveying the kind of emotion for this project. As my brother, I know he can handle a heavy workload and still create excellent work.  Joshua      My other teammate, Aidan, is just as competent. A creative and great student, Aidan will be handling most of the project's directing. Aidan is a big thinker who can get the job done efficiently. His perspective will add an invaluable quality to our work.  Aidan      Lastly, I will be doing all of the major editing for the project. I have some experience with free programs and am excited to bring that to the project. I will also be aiding...

Get Your Popcorn.. Let’s Watch A Movie

Now that the group has chosen what genre and concept we want our final project to be, it’s time to watch a few films that follow the conventions of the sports genre. Today’s film will be Creed 2, directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Michael B. Jordan alongside Sylvester Stallone. What elements (Conventions) of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this  movie have?   The elements of this picture that relate to our genre would be that it is louder, grander, and greater than the first one. By maintaining an emphasis on the humanity of its main characters, it is able to correct itself. More than any punch delivered in the ring, whether Rocky will see his son again and the tribulations of the recent Creed couple are the subjects of greater suspense. The boxing scenes are fascinating and fun. Also, it gives fans a feast of entertainment.  What elements (Conventions) of the genre did the movie have that you like?  I enjoy how Adonis and Viktor...
