Rotten Tomatoes

After our final filming day was complete, I wasted no time finishing up the editing process. Because the last scenes were shot mainly using tracking shots, I didn't really have to do much in terms of cutting them and adding transitions. The clips flowed together well because there were physical transitions to them. The final scene with the phone was a little more difficult. Because I was unable to help my other members film the final scenes of the film, I called them and helped them film scenes that way. This meant creating mock-ups for them to follow that demonstrated what angles to use and how to pace the camera. This actually worked way better than I thought it would. Most scenes came out great, but the only issue was that the team had a hard time filming the final scene which required a phone as a prop. Luckily, I had a phone I could record that looked similar to Randy's. I changed the wallpaper of the phone at my house and took off the case so it was less noticeable. I then put the phone on a dark surface that mimicked the one utilized in the other scenes. The two scenes were surprisingly similar, as in the film you can't even tell that they were filmed in two different locations. After adding that clip, I was finished with the editing process and began showing the project to a few of my friends.

One of the people I showed my project to was my friend Leila. She does not take media studies, so her opinion would reflect what a general audience would most likely think of our film. Overall, she liked the concept but had a few recommendations. She said she could not understand what was happening at the end, and that she could not hear what was going on. I took her critiques into account and went back to editing the project. I changed the music for the entire film and made the new songs quieter so that the audience could better understand the characters and plot. I also edited how the project actually looked, which was new for me. I added filters and edited the saturation and sharpness of the film to provide different effects. For the scenes at the volleyball court, I emphasized the sunniness and happiness through the coloration of the film. Once Randy, or MJ, gets home in the later portion of the film, I made the coloring cooler and more muted to provide contrast to the previous scenes. This was also done to make the messages on the phone more clear, as that was an issue for other viewers as well. After making these changes, I presented the project to Leila again along with a few other people. They seemed to like the film much better now that the changes were implemented.

The Conference Call

Unfortunately, the group could not come together to film this week. This was extremely frustrating because it set us behind for a few days. Many of us were working, and when we weren't, others had obligations they couldn't miss. Despite this minor setback, we still made time to talk about our film. The group decided to do a phone call to work out the details of the project. Again, we were focusing on the opening. We are unfamiliar with the formatting of the intro. As a result, we all had many different ideas on how we should execute it. All of us provided input on how we could change certain scenes and dialogue to accommodate the opening. Though small decisions like the font have not been ironed out, we have a clear idea of how we want the names and titles to be displayed. This may require some of the scenes to be reshot, but we are perfectly fine with making this adjustment to get the best product we can.      The group agreed that we should implement landscape shots to

It is implied that he might not be a superstar as of yet which is further supported by the many ima

Our Pitches

The group has several ideas on what we should make our video about. We have narrowed them down to three in order to make the decision easier for ourselves.      The first pitch surrounds two high athletes that play volleyball. The two are inseparable, but different in nature. One was always extremely passionate about volleyball, determined to improve and become a major player of the sport. For convenience, we will call this character Character A (or CA for short). The other character was never very interested in sports and was more intrigued by online endeavors (phones, gaming, etc.). This character will be called Character B (or CB). One day, CB is sitting on the stairs on his phone when CA is going down them. CA drops the volleyball in his hand, yelling for CB to watch out as it moves towards him. CB is caught off guard, dropping his phone as the yelling startles him. Miraculously, he is able to pass the ball back to CA perfectly and catch his phone. CA is surprised by CB’s ski
